Creator Quick Start

Sign your photos and videos with a verified creator credential. This guide covers the Verimago Camera app and the Publisher Portal.

Two ways to sign content

MethodBest forHow it works
Verimago Camera app (iOS / Android)Field capture, live events, breaking newsHardware-signed at capture time — the strongest proof of authenticity
Publisher Portal (web)Editing suite uploads, studio content, bulk signingUpload a file hash through the browser — signed by the Verimago CA

Both methods produce the same C2PA-compliant certificate. Both result in a green shield.

Option A: Verimago Camera App

Install

Capture and sign

  • Open the app. You'll see a green shield icon in the viewfinder — this confirms device attestation is active.
  • Record a video or take a photo. Signing happens automatically at capture time.
  • When capture completes, the app shows the verification link: verify.verimago.io/sha256:...
  • Tap Share to send the video to any platform. The certificate is embedded in the file metadata.
  • Anonymous vs. identified signing

    ModeWhat's recordedHow to enable
Anonymous (default)Device attestation proof + timestamp. No identity linked.Default — no setup needed
Creator credentialYour verified name and credential. Persistent signing key.Settings → Link Credential → enter your Verimago login

Linking your credential means your name appears on the certificate when anyone verifies the video. This is recommended for journalists and professional creators who want attribution.

    Privacy controls

All optional — disabled by default:

Location and identity are separate toggles. You can prove your credential without revealing where you are.

    Option B: Publisher Portal

Go to publisher.verimago.io and log in with your Verimago account.

    Sign a file

  • Click Sign Content or drag a video/photo into the upload area
  • The portal computes the SHA-256 hash locally in your browser — the file itself is never uploaded to Verimago
  • Add metadata: headline, content type (Authentic / AI-Enhanced / AI-Generated)
  • Click Sign
  • The portal returns a verification link and certificate details
  • Bulk signing

    For multiple files:

  • Click Bulk Sign
  • Select or drag multiple files
  • The portal hashes each file locally and signs them in batch
  • You'll get a list of verification links for all files
  • Sharing signed content

When you share a Verimago-signed video to social media, two things happen:

  • Certificate metadata is embedded in the video file (C2PA standard). Platforms that support C2PA will display the credential automatically.
  • Verification link is auto-inserted in your caption: verify.verimago.io/sha256:...
  • The caption link works on every platform today, regardless of C2PA support. Anyone who clicks it sees the full certificate.

    Verification

Anyone can verify any Verimago-signed content — no account needed:
